All markers and loop points are stored per video in your browser, so a tutorial you set up today is ready the next time you open it.

Loading Videos in the YouTube Player
1. Click the Video Player tab in the Player panel
2. Paste a YouTube URL into the input field
3. Click Load
The player accepts every common YouTube URL format:

Videos you have loaded before are kept in a Recent list with their titles, so you can pick a tutorial up again without hunting for the link. Clear History empties that list.
Your Own Video Files
The same tab plays videos from your own computer. Switch from YouTube to Local File above the video, choose a file, and you get the same keyboard, the same A-B loop, and the same markers — useful for lesson recordings or footage that never went online.

Slowing a video down is the single most effective way to learn piano from YouTube. The YouTube Player adjusts playback speed from 25% to 200% using the speed slider, without changing the video's pitch.

Adjust playback speed from 25% to 200% using the speed slider. Slowing down is the most effective way to learn piano from YouTube:
- 50% – Half speed for learning fast passages note by note
- 75% – Slightly slower for practicing at a comfortable pace
- 100% – Original speed once you've mastered the section
- 25% – Ultra-slow for complex runs and arpeggios
The current speed is displayed next to the slider (e.g., "0.75x", "1.0x", "1.5x").
Volume Control
Adjust the YouTube video volume with the volume slider in the player controls. This lets you balance the video audio with your own playing or the app's built-in sounds.
Loop YouTube Video Sections for Practice
Loop any section of a YouTube video to practice it repeatedly. The Loop sidebar on the right side of the video provides all loop controls — no need for a separate YouTube looper tool.
Setting Loop Points
1. Play the video to your desired start point
2. Click Set next to A to mark the loop start
3. Continue to your desired end point
4. Click Set next to B to mark the loop end
5. Click the Loop toggle button (⟳) to enable looping
The video will automatically loop between points A and B.
Visual Loop Region
When loop points are set, a colored region appears on the timeline showing the loop area. This helps you see exactly which section will repeat.

Tip: You can adjust loop points while the video is playing – just click Set again to update the position.
Markers — Save Important Sections
Save important positions in the video for quick access. The Markers sidebar appears above the Loop controls.

1. Play to the position you want to mark
2. Click M+ in the overlay controls or + in the sidebar
3. Enter a descriptive label (e.g., "Verse 1", "Chorus", "Bridge")
4. The marker appears in the sidebar list with its timestamp

Markers are saved per video in your browser's local storage:
- Reload the page → markers are still there
- Load the same video later → markers reappear
- Different videos have separate marker lists
Video Above the Piano Keyboard
When the Video Player tab is active, the video appears above the keyboard. This layout lets you:
- Watch the tutorial while seeing your keyboard at the same time (up to 88 keys, set in Settings)
- Follow along with piano tutorials and play in real time
- See which keys to press with note names enabled

1. Load the tutorial video
2. Mark the sections (Intro, Verse, Chorus) with markers
3. Loop the first section with A-B points
