How to Capture a Piano Image

1. Set up the keyboard: highlight keys, enable note names, select a chord or scale in Learning Mode, or freely click any keys
2. Click the Capture button in the header — or press C on your keyboard
3. Your piano image export is automatically downloaded — by default as a .png file. To change the format to JPG or WebP, open Settings → Capture

What You Can Capture

Chord Images

Use Learning Mode for quick chord captures:

1. Select a root note and chord type (e.g., Cmaj7, Dm, G7)
2. The chord lights up automatically with correct finger numbers
3. Press C to capture — done

Scale Images

Capture any scale pattern across the keyboard:

1. Open Learning Mode and select a scale (Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Blues, Modes, etc.)
2. The scale pattern highlights across all octaves with fingering
3. Press C to save the scale image

Custom Highlights

Use Toggle Mode to build any keyboard screenshot from scratch:

• Click individual keys to highlight them — they stay lit until you click again
• Build up any pattern: intervals, custom voicings, exercise patterns, or teaching examples
• Assign finger numbers (1–5) by hovering a key and pressing a number
• Draw arrows, hand-drawn circles and short notes onto the keyboard with the pen button in the header — see Visual Tutorials
• Press C when your image looks right

How do I use the piano image export?

1 keystroke: press C on your keyboard, or click the Capture button in the header.
